Couple’s therapy $175/ session ~ Not currently accepting couples

Please see below for insurance panels I accept - one member of the couple must be having significant mental health symptoms to be able to bill insurance. I do not accept couples as clients utilizing the Employee Assistance programs.

STEP #1:

IF YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY IS UNITED HEALTHCARE, OPTUM, AETNA, CIGNA and AVMED -only if your Avmed policy is managed through Optum or United Healthcare such as the plan from The State of Florida, I can confirm your benefits very easily so only your pay copay/ deductible will be charged at each session. Please see below for the full list of accepted insurance.

STEP 2: Submit an Insurance Verification Form prior to making an appointment https://www.theresarodriguez.com/client-verification and my billing company Alma will get back to you on what your benefits are within 72 hours typically.

STEP 3- once you receive an email from Alma, then schedule an appointment. Feel free to call me if you have any questions.

Avmed (in network)- NOT currently accepting new Avmed patients unless your plan is administered through Optum or United Healthcare- such a the State of Florida has for their employees. If you are not certain, then submit an insurance verification form and we will find out for you.

Blue Cross, Florida Blue, Anthem or BCBS- Not in-network provider hence I am NOT accepting

I am NOT a Medicare nor a Medicaid provider; Medicare, for its entire history, has only allowed Social Workers and Psychologists to become providers. Congress finally Changed this and as of January 2024 counselors can apply to be a provider. I will apply this year to become a provider. Miracles do happen- after 32 years of my profession I will finally be allowed to serve patients on Medicare. It may take the better of this year so if you are on Medicare, please contact Gail Greenhut LCSW, my colleague who is a current provider.

EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS ACCEPTED- I accept EAP’s occasionally- currently not accepting.
